We’re excited to welcome trombonist James Wade-Sired to Highams Park Jazz Club – one of the UK’s most exciting young voices in jazz. A graduate of the prestigious Trinity Laban Conservatoire, James has quickly built a reputation for his warm tone, lyrical phrasing, and dynamic improvisation. His playing blends deep jazz tradition with a fresh, contemporary approach that makes him a standout on any stage.
James has already performed and recorded with a host of top names, including Charles Tolliver, Ricky Ford, Cleveland Watkiss, Tony Kofi, Byron Wallen, Julian Joseph, and more. He’s equally at home working with boundary-pushing artists like Greentea Peng, Jake Shears, Olivia Dean, and Giacomo Smith, making him one of the most versatile and in-demand young trombonists on the scene.
The evening begins with a performance from our brilliant house band, featuring James Wade-Sired in the first set. In the second half, the stage opens up for a jam session – a great opportunity to share the stage with James and fellow musicians in a relaxed, friendly, and welcoming environment. These sessions are all about connection, creativity, and celebrating live music together.
