Jam Session feat. Jackson Mathod

We are thrilled to share exciting news with you! Highams Park Jazz Club is set to host the extraordinary trumpet player, Jackson Mathod. Jackson is not only a skilled trumpeter but also a versatile multi-instrumentalist and vocalist. Influenced by legendary figures like Miles Davis, Roy Hargrove, and Christian Scott, his music carries a simple yet universal message in these challenging times: have fun, move, and relish the exceptional musicianship on display.

We will be performing the first set with Jackson, and the jam session will commence in the second set. General admission is £10, and for musicians joining us in the second set, tickets are available for just £5 (Due to limited availability, we can only accommodate 10 musicians on a first-come, first-served basis). Secure your ticket as soon as possible to guarantee your seat, as we cannot guarantee availability at the door.

After a series of successful singles in 2020, Jackson unveiled his debut album, ‘Travels in a Confined Space,’ in April 2021. The album received acclaim from BBC 6music (Huey Morgan), BBC Introducing (Jess Iszatt and Robert Elms), Worldwide FM (Gilles Peterson), and secured a place on the Jazz FM playlist. Subsequently, Jackson collaborated with various musicians and producers, building an extensive catalogue of music at such a young age.

‘Come On Now’ is the latest project in Jackson’s musical journey, recently released and already garnering acclaim from esteemed platforms such as BBC6, BBC 1Xtra, Jazz FM, Jamie Cullum, and Gilles Peterson, who have consistently supported his work. Notable editorial support from State Of Jazz, All New Jazz, Jazz Funk, and others has further solidified Jackson’s presence in the music scene.

We invite you to join us in welcoming Jackson Mathod for what promises to be an unforgettable performance.
